Railway 200 is a year-long, nationwide, partnership-led campaign celebrating 200 years of the modern railway. It aims to inspire a new generation of pioneering talent to choose a career in rail, while encouraging community, railway, and other groups to get involved.
The GWSR will mark this historic anniversary with a special weekend of education, exhibits, and storytelling. The main hub of activity will be at Toddington Station, where visitors can explore our exhibition centre and discover how our volunteers have kept this Cotswold railway running since its preservation from British Railways in 1981.
Toddington Narrow Gauge Railway will also be running both days as well as our Garden Railway, in support of the event.
