Fusion is a dance that is created by combining elements of a variety of different dances to make a fun and improvisation partner dance. It is fun for both dancers with experience in other dances and those new to dance due to its simple basic that can be quickly learned and built on.
Overview:
We’ll kick off our dance with a beginner lesson and continuation lesson from 8:00-9:00, with music to follow from 9:00-2:00. From master mover to two left feet, we can’t wait to get you on the dance floor!
To encourage growth in our dance community, we’re offering a special deal—attend a lesson and stay for the social for just $12! If you’re only coming for the social, the cover charge is $15 cash (or $15.45 card).
Lesson Details:
Intro to Fusion: In this lesson we will take you through our “survive and thrive” basics, in which we will cover the moves you are most likely to encounter with other dancers during the night. This includes basic patterns, partner connection and pulse. With our help you’ll be ready to join us on the dance floor in no time!
Continuation Lesson: “Frame Yourself- Connection So Good It Should Be Illegal”
In this three month series we will be keying in on the very center of our dance experience, frame! A deeper understanding of frame allows us to communicate more clearly, listen more intimately, and execute more interesting ideas. This month we will focus on frame in closed position and learn about utilizing this key element to lead interesting movements with body led intention as well as connection points at the shoulders, elbows, and even a fun tango hip movement! After this lesson, the only thing you’ll be guilty of is having a good time 👩‍⚖️
Music for the evening:
We have a wide variety of music, from Blues, to WCS, to Latin-inspired music. We look for tunes that we can dance a variety of styles, or fuse styles together to. Our DJs will keep you on the floor all night long!
