The Historic Royal Theatre is feeling lucky this summer and is rolling the dice in anticipation for the August show - Guys and Dolls.

August 13-23, 2026. Performances will take place at The Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market Street, Benton Arkansas.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday performances begin at 2:00 p.m.

Hailed as the perfect musical comedy, this award-winning classic gambles with luck and love under the bright lights of Broadway. With a book by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling, and Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser, Guys and Dolls tells the story of Nathan Detroit who is trying to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Meanwhile, his girlfriend (and nightclub performer) Adelaide laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.
Sponsored by Meridiem Psychological Services Inc., with stage direction and design by Matthew Burns, music direction by Lexie Ellis and choreography by Reagan Hammonds Turbyfill, this production guarantees to be a spectacle that TRT audiences have never seen before. Featuring famous songs like “Luck Be A Lady” and “Bushel and a Peck”, audience members will be drawn into the bright lights of New York nightlife and may even be tempted into playing a game or two of craps. You never know what you’ll find when you enter The Hot Box… or The Royal Theatre!
