About this Event
By planting native grasses and coastal trees, you’ll play a direct role in restoring the coastline, increasing biodiversity, reducing erosion, repairing storm damage, and creating healthier habitat for wildlife along this cherished waterfront.
Healthy coastlines protect our communities. Native plants stabilize sandy soils, improve water quality, and provide critical shelter and food for birds, fish, and pollinators. Your participation helps ensure Gulfport’s shoreline remains resilient, vibrant, and thriving for generations to come.
What You’ll Do
- Plant native coastal grasses and trees
- Learn about shoreline ecosystems and restoration techniques
- Help stabilize the shoreline and support wildlife habitat
- Make a visible, lasting impact on Gulfport’s coast
No experience is necessary! Our team and partners will provide guidance and instruction throughout the event. Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a seasoned environmental steward, your help makes a difference.
