� The Format: FargoRated R3 "Hot" Races
This tournament utilizes the FargoRated R3 Hot Handicap system. This ensures that every single match is mathematically leveled to give both competitors a 50/50 or as close as possible of a chance of winning.
Instead of a flat race, the matches adapt dynamically based on player ratings:
[ Equal Ratings ] ───► Standard Race to 3 (3-3)
[ Slight Gap ] ───► Adjusted Race (e.g., 3-5)
[ Large Gap ] ───► Maximum Handicap Race (e.g., 2-6)
How it works: If you and your opponent have a similar FargoRating, it’s a straight race to 3. If there is a rating gap, the "Hot" system adjusts the game requirements so that the lower-rated player needs fewer games, while the higher-rated player needs more—making every match a true toss-up!
