An introduction to how to read and play tab on the guitar, so you can play solos and riffs like your favourite artists.
About this Event

Unlock the skills to learn how to play solos and riffs like your favourite artists. If you can play a few chords and feel ready for a new challenge, this introduction to reading and playing guitar tab will help you take your playing to the next level.
Tab is a way of reading music that simplifies learning riffs, melodies and solos. Once you unlock this skill, it opens up a whole new world of guitar playing for you.

This session will be led by Patrick Shand. Patrick is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and community musician who studied music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. While they are a very accomplished player, one of their favourite things to do is to teach others in a way that is accessible and fun. They have worked with Givin' it Laldie for many years teaching countless participants how to play guitar and read tab with confidence.
Donations raised from this session will go towards Givin’ it Laldie, a community music organisation based in the Gorbals, Glasgow. Our free music sessions for folks aged 9 to 99 bring local people from diverse backgrounds together to improve health and well-being, create community, and improve access to arts and culture in the area.
