Guided Winter Bird Walk at Wilson Springs Ponds

Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon on a guided field trip as we wander around Wilson Springs Ponds to check out the birds of the season. Some birds we may encounter include Wood Ducks, Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, Lesser Scaups, Ruddy Ducks, Green-winged Teals, Cedar Waxwings, Northern Pintails, Redheads, Canvasbacks, Yellow-rumped Warblers, and White-crowned Sparrows.

Accessibility: The walk at Wilson Springs Ponds is an easy and accessible walk along a paved 1 mile loop. This trip is approprite for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible.

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Check-in is at 9:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

: We will meet in the parking lot at Wilson Springs Ponds (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, comfortable shoes, binoculars, a scope if you have one, water, and snacks as needed. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available.

Special Conditions: Paths may be slippery and/or icy depending on recent weather. Please consider bringing YakTrax if you have them.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI or steady precipitation forecast, the trip will be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact the field trip leader listed above. Participants who miss two trips without advance notice may be suspended from registering for three months. Thanks for your understanding!
