Join the City of Liberty and Historic Liberty, Inc. for the annual Historic Walking Tour Series. These architecture and history tours highlight Liberty’s historic features and stories of the past.Tours are led by a variety of volunteers and local experts and are a favorite among history and architecture buffs across the metropolitan area. These tours are free, unless otherwise noted, and open to the general public.
Cecelia Robinson, Historian for the Clay County African American Legacy, Inc., will guide you on a tour of the Garrison School Cultural Center and attendees will learn about the contributions the Garrison School and Cultural Center had on Liberty on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. This tour will meet at the entrance to the school, 502 N. Water St.
