About this Event

Join Charlottesville Area Tree Steward David Marrs for an informational and enjoyable summer walk in the forest at the beautiful Ivy Creek Natural Area.

David will begin the walk with a conversation about trees and the various landscapes at the Ivy Creek Natural Area. He will focus on unique characteristics of the trees featured, whether that be leaves, bark, fruit, or shape, and talk about the best ways to ID the most common trees.

This will be an easy to moderate walk on established trails that are well maintained with some inclines and declines. Our walk will be in the open and in wooded areas so we recommend that you wear sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat, sun protection and bringing water.

Please meet at the Ivy Creek Natural Area kiosk as you go from the parking lot towards the barn. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

This walk is free, but donations are always appreciated. Thanks!
