Guided Walk: CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails (Yellow South Trail)

Renew your sense of discovery and explore real Florida, on our guided walk of CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails (FPS).

On this two and a half hour walk, led by a CREW volunteer, you'll discover an essential part of the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW)-one of the last wildlife corridors that stretches into the Everglades- and see firsthand local plants and animals of all shapes and sizes. Experience habitat restoration in action and discover the trails that you can continue to take advantage of long after your guided walk is over. Flint Pen Strand offers beautiful lakes, canals, marshes, pine uplands, cypress domes, and more!

Time: 9:00am - 11:30am

Distance & Difficulty: ~3 miles at a leisurely pace across mostly level but unpaved ground, Difficulty: 3/ 5, may be some muddy but mostly avoidable areas on the trail.

What to Wear and Bring:

• Dress appropriately. We suggest: long pants, durable close-toed shoes, and hat.
• Wear or bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray.
• Hiking accessories, like walking stick, binoculars, camera equipment, flora and fauna guide books are optional but welcome.
• Bring plenty of water or re-hydration drink & snacks.

Rain or Shine we'll be there. Only canceled due to inclement weather, such as thunderstorms.
