Guided Tour of Kate Sheppard House
About this Event
Step inside the home where history was made and discover where Kate Sheppard led the world’s first successful suffrage campaign. It's an essential story for everyone from 7 year olds to 107 year olds! Righting inequality and fighting against the exclusion women suffered was Sheppard's aim. Her determination to change the law and bring about democractic rights for half our population is inspiring to learn and reflect on.
Entry is by guided tour, departing at 11am and 1pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Bookings are recommended as we are often fully booked. Please arrive on time, as our tours depart on time.
Afterwards, enjoy morning or afternoon tea in the Camellia Room, overlooking the beautiful garden or find a sunny spot on one of our outside tables.
