Guided Hike - San Dieguito Lagoon Tidal Trail

Enjoy and learn about the newest addition to the San Dieguito River Park’s trail system – the

Tidal Trail - located along restored tidal wetlands. An easy two-mile stroll with San Dieguito

River Park JPA’s Executive Director Shawna Anderson and Ranger Elias Rocha, you will

learn about how 84 acres of land was recently restored to tidal wetlands and habitat for

endangered species.

Open 6am – 6pm (October 1 – March 31) and 6am – 7:30pm (April 1 – September 30)

From I-5, exit Via de la Valle.
Go east on Via de la Valle.
Turn right onto El Camino Real.
Turn right at the trail parking sign into the staging area driveway just before the traffic light for
Sea Country Ln.

Trail Access:

At the northeast corner (near the kiosk) or southwest corner of the staging area.

Notes:
The staging area is accessible only from southbound El Camino Real. If approaching from Del
Mar Heights Rd. make a U-turn at San Dieguito Rd.
No horse trailers.
Portable toilet available.
