Guided Hike - Lovers Key State Park

We’ll be hiking a little over five miles on the Eagle trail and Black Island trail. If you’d rather only do about 2.5 miles, you’re welcome to join us for only one of those trails.
Lovers Key is a beautiful state park in Ft Myers with trails that follow along estuaries and canals that offer a glimpse into marine habitat. The trail goes through a maritime hammock where you’ll see lots of cabbage palms, gumbo limbo trees, dogwood and button bush among many others including several species of wildflowers.
This hike is guided by a Florida Master Naturalist and will include stops along the way to learn about the habitat you’re exploring.
There is a $8 fee per vehicle to enter the park.
It will be hot! Please come prepared with sun protection, snacks, bug spray, and more water than you think you will need. Suggested equipment: neck fan and cooling cloth to assist with the heat.
