About this Event

Meet at Customs House, Bowling Harbour

Join Scottish Canals Heritage Manager, Chris O'Connell, for a guided walk exploring the fascinating history of Bowling Harbour, the Forth & Clyde Canal, and the area’s industrial heritage.

The walk takes place at 11am and 2pm, starting from Customs House at Bowling Harbour.

The route is along our towpaths which are level and mostly accessible by wheelchair and people with limited mobility.

The walk will last around one hour, including time for stops at points of interest along the route.

There are toilet facilities and car parking available as well as public transport links.

This event is part of Our Stories - West Dunbartonshire Heritage Festival and celebrates 25 years of the Millennium Link project which reopened the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals.
