BIO:
My name is Sheila, also known as “Portsmouth Urban Forager”. My pandemic passion project was to bring foraging education to our community. I had several goals with this project, including empowering others to take up foraging, and also finding social and community connections through this project.
I have a certificate in plant medicine from Cornell University, the Master Naturalist Certificate from Lakehead University, and I have completed the Master Food Preserver Program from Cornell University.
Since the pandemic, I’ve run dozens of public foraging workshops and walks in the Kingston area, including workshops through the Kingston & Frontenac Public Library.
