About this Event
This is a guided foraging walk in collaboration with The Empress, where we will learn about 10-15 of the edible, medicinal, or useful plants that grow wild in the Hill Country, as well as some of the spiritual properties behind these plant allies! We hope this walk serves to change your perspective on the natural world, to not only see how so many plants support us physcially, but how to incorporate plants into our spiritual practice.
In addition to learning about specific plants and thier properties, we will be discussing foraging ethics and best practices, including an emphasis on harvesting invasive plants to steward our environment, and other reciprocity practices!
This walk will also teach an important lesson about the abundance of foraging, namely the abundance of foraging in urban settings - no need to hike deep into the woods to start working with these incredible plants!
No need to bring any gear - maybe just some water, a note pad, and a childlike sense of wonder...
