About this Event
Event Guidelines:
- Each ticket comes with a copy of Dog Hiking New England co-authored by Kristen Valenti
- Each participant may bring one dog to accompany them on the hike. Dogs must be leashed and comfortable around other dogs and people.
- When registering, you will be prompted to sign a waiver through Eventbrite.
- Guided by author Kristen Valenti with support from River Bend Staff.
- Check in begins at 9:15am. The hike will begin promptly at 9:30am.
Hike Specifications:
- Trail Name: Blackledge Falls extended loop into Gay City State Park
- Type of trail: Loop
- Distance: 2.76 miles
- Elevation: ~300 feet
- Sturdy hiking boots recommended with ankle support, as the trail can be rocky.
Arrival Notes:
- Meeting Spot: Large parking lot (Blackledge Falls parking lot) along Route 94/Hebron Ave
- GPS Coordinates: 41.69745, -72.4557
- Alternative Directions: From Welles-Turner Memorial Library in downtown Glastonbury, head southeast toward CT-94 W/Hebron Ave. Continue following Hebron Avenue for 8.5 miles until you see the Blackledge Falls sign and entrance to the large parking lot on the left.
