Guided Bird Hike at Merritt Island — August 2026

About this Event

Join Brad Demers, author of Niagara Nature, for a morning bird hike at Merritt Island. We'll see our resident summer birds but perhaps a few early migratory birds as well. Open to everyone — this walk is aimed to be an introduction to birding, including how to recognize field marks, bird song, behaviour and more. We will walk down Merritt Island's riverside trail (weather and trail conditions permitting) and return along the paved upper trail. Attendees should be able to walk approximately 3km round trip.
