About this Event

Guided Autobiography Class

Join us for Guided Autobiography (GAB) in patnership with SCAN Independence at Home, a five-week writing series designed to help you reflect on your life's meaningful moments, preserve your memories, and connect with others through storytelling.

Each week, you'll explore a new life theme through guided writing prompts in a welcoming and supportive group setting. Participants are invited to share their stories with fellow class members, but sharing is always optional.

What to Expect:

  • ✍️ Five weekly guided writing sessions
  • 📖 A new life story topic each week
  • 💬 Optional group discussion and story sharing
  • ❤️ A supportive and engaging environment
  • 👩‍🏫 Facilitated by instructors trained through the Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies

No writing experience is necessary. Whether you're writing for yourself, your family, or future generations, this class will help you capture the stories that make your life unique.

This program is intended for adults ages 60 and older. Registration is required, and space is limited.

We look forward to helping you tell your story!
