About Emilia:
Emilia Poghosyan was born in Armenia and started to dance at age 9. After only a year of dancing, she became the champion of the Caucas countries. She has won the title of Armenian 10-Dance Champion several times. She came to America in 2008 and has been with Fred Astaire since 2009. She and partner Hayk Balasanyan have been dancing together since 2010, and they have won many titles, including US National Professional Rising Star Latin Champions, 5-time Fred Astaire World Champions, 6-time National Champions, Fred Astaire Regional Champions, and 6 Times Cross Country Champions, Fred Astaire 2 Times Show Dance Champions and US National Show Dance Vice Champions, Winners of Latin Star Tour.
