Eitan Gallant bio:
Eitan Gallant moved to Guelph in 2003 and fell in love with the place and the people. He got into the music scene with his former band, Half Dozen Down, followed by the poetry scene, with Guelph Spoken Word. In 2017, Eitan drove across the country for a few months with his partner, Carly, and as folks do, he got stuck out west for a few years. He is back in Guelph, now with a growing family, and he is ridiculously honoured to be the feature performer at the Guelph Poetry Slam 16th Anniversary Edition.
For Eitan, what began as a musical hobby developed into artistic creation and further developed into community collaboration. He has been spreading the good word - of good - to wherever it will be heard since his high school days. He was a two-time GPS team member, and a Canadian Festival of Spoken Word 2016 National Champion. Shouts out to the 2016 team!
Eitan’s performances, as described by Guelph’s former Community Music Collective, “…speak of love and community… He will leave you feeling inspired and like you want to hug the stranger next to you.”
