Guayusa Tea Ceremony: Winter Solstice with Beacon Open Shamanic Circle

Join us for a special Winter Solstice gathering featuring a Guayusa Tea Ceremony and a shamanic journey supported by drumming and an Amazonian medicine song. This month’s circle invites participants to explore the teachings of Guayusa, an Amazonian leaf often called “The Watchman,” and its role in traditional Seikopai night-vision and dream practices. The Guayusa leaves used in this ceremony come directly from Seikopai territory and were gifted to me with care.

I will be hosting this cultural gathering as someone who carries an Andean lineage by blood and who works in Indigenous advocacy, with time spent learning from Seikopai community members. My intention is to offer this experience with cultural respect, reciprocity, and care, and to bridge sacred practice with accessible community space.

After sharing a cup of Guayusa, participants will be invited to lie down for a guided shamanic journey. Through drum, voice, and Amazonian medicine song gifted to me, we will explore the themes of the Solstice: renewal, vision, and listening deeply to the world within and around us.

This event is open to all levels of experience. Come connect with community, honor the season, and enter the winter threshold with clarity and intention.
