First-year GTA? Attend the required GTA conference to explore strategies for managing classes, assessing learning, and supporting students.
About this Event

The ITLE GTA Conference provides first-year Oklahoma State University Graduate Teaching Assistants with a practical foundation for confident, effective teaching. Designed for GTAs teaching for the first time, the conference introduces evidence-based instructional strategies and explores how students learn in a variety of learning environments. Participants will engage with sessions on classroom management, fair and efficient grading, student accommodations and support resources, academic integrity, and the evolving role of AI in teaching. By the end of the day, GTAs will leave with clear expectations, campus connections, and actionable tools they can apply immediately in labs, discussion sections, recitations, and online course spaces.

If you are a returning GTA, with more than 1 year of experience, you may attend the conference if space allows. Please register via the waitlist and you will be notified if space is available!
