ANOTHER VENUE DEBUT FOR GRUNGE DNA IN 2026!!!Yes, it is true. Grunge DNA will be making another venue debut in the 2026 calendar year, and this time it will be at the Groove Bar and Grill on Kelley's Island. How awesome is that?
The band will be playing on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, and it is going to be a lot of fun. So, with that being said, mark your calendars and make your plans to spend the evening with us on Kelley's Island on Friday, September 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
If you are not familiar with this bar, or with Kelley's Island, here are a few tips to help you out
1. The best and easiest way to get to the island is by boat. If you don't own a boat, you will need to take the Kelley's Island Ferry to the island, and it departs out of Marblehead. It's really easy to do, and they have a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle.
2. The boats run every half hour all day and evening with the last ferry leaving the island at 10:30 PM. You can purchase your tickets at the dock when you arrive. If you want more details about that, please visit the website for the Kelley's Island Ferry.
3. You do not have to stay the night on the island. If you want, you can just come up for the day and take a ferry back to the mainland after the show. That is what the band does, and we have never had an issue with getting back home.
4. When you get to the island, you can walk from the ferry to the bar, and from the bar back to the ferry. It is about a 10-to-15-minute walk. If you do not want to walk, you can rent a golf cart when you get to the island and drive the golf cart to the bar and back. Or, if you prefer, you can just take your car over on the ferry and drive that around. The latter is what the band does, and it is really easy to do.
