Gruffalo Granny Tea Party - Kettering

The Gruffalo is back in town and there's a special visitor too... The Gruffalo Granny! Gruffalo's Mum is coming for a visit to the Deep Dark Wood and Gruffalo and his child are worried that she might want to eat The Big Bad Mouse...
Join us as we celebrate the publication of Gruffalo Granny, the first new Gruffalo story in over 20 years from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. To celebrate we will be hosting a Gruffalo-inspired tea party, including treats, fun children's activities and a storytime!
The tea party will take place Saturday 12th September at 11.30am, with a reading of Gruffalo Granny beginning at 12pm.
Starting from Monday 10th August 2026, we will also be running a competiton to see who can come up with the best idea on what Gruffalo Granny would like to eat (instead of the mouse...) during her visit! The winner will be announced at our party on Saturday 12th September so make sure to drop off your booklet into store before that.
Books will be available to purchase on the day, or pop into store to pre-order your copy at half price!
Please note, when booking tickets please only book tickets for each child that will be attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults need not book a ticket. Thank you.
