Participants will learn about the normal and natural stages and struggles that growing couples encounter. Participants will garner an understanding of the correlation between the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy and Margaret Mahler’s Stages of Development. Participants will be introduced to assessment tools from an attachment theory perspective. They will learn how to apply these results to harness the developmental energy in each partner as well as learn how to support progression rather than regression in their work with couples.
