We are pleased to have Jorge Olquin join us for another intensive weekend of tango growth. He is recently back from his time in Buenas Aires and eager to share his ideas with us!Same format as usual: For technique classes all are welcome, no partner necessary, these classes are a deep dive into the nitty gritty details that improve our dance. The couples classes apply the technique into our partnership movement, Jorge does not go into the nitty gritty, so it's highly recommended to attend both. For partner classes some experience is necessary, please register with a partner or let us help to pair you up.
Schedule & Topics
Saturday Oct. 19th
5-6 pm Technique Class: "Let's take our connection to the highest level to use our axis in small spaces (push and pull movements from the leader to the follower and from the follower to the leader)"
6:30-7:30 pm Partner Class: "We continue the connection class based on different sequences to work (sacadas, barridas, ornaments and giros) in small spaces"
8-11 pm Milonga- DJ Jorge $10 (included if you take the classes with Jorge)
Sunday Oct. 20th
11- 12:00 pm Technique Class: Continuation of first technique class; taking the concepts further and incorporating them into our bodies.
12:30- 1:30 pm Partner Class: Milonga (linear and circular musical times and development to transfer different sequences…)
