Join the Ecology Centre Gardeners who will give you tips to turn a small pot into a mini pollinator garden.
About this Event

As part of London Climate Action Week 2026 (20-28 June), join the Ecology Service Community Gardeners for a hands-on planting workshop where you will:

  • Create your own edible pollinator pot using herbs and flowering plants that support bees and other pollinators.
  • Discover how even small urban spaces can support nature and grow food.
  • Learn simple tips for growing herbs and flowers in pots while helping provide nectar and pollen for pollinators.

Take your edible balcony pot home and help plant a few pollinator-friendly herbs and flowers in the Brompton Library terrace planters.

Suitable for beginners.

The Holland Park Ecology Centre, opened in September 2013, provides a purpose-built base for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Ecology Service. The centre is an invaluable environmental education resource for schools and residents to enjoy and learn about the natural environment.

The centre also provides a unique space that is used for public events and can be hired for birthday parties, functions, meetings and training purposes.

Community Gardeners led workshops provide opportunities for residents to engage in food growing and horticulture, providing a space to learn new skills, connect with nature and develop meaningful connections with others.

We work with community groups, mental health support groups and the NHS to provide gardening opportunities in community spaces across the borough.

London Climate Action Week harnesses the power of London for global and local climate action.

An open and inclusive platform for action — and a public good — LCAW is one of the world’s largest independent climate events. Now in its eighth edition, it brings together more than 75,000 people across more than 750 events over nine days each June. From community gatherings in every London borough to major international conferences, ministerial roundtables and public art installations — climate action happening, visibly, across an entire global city.

Hosted by E3G — Third Generation Environmentalism.
