Grow Food, Feed Pollinators Workshop FREE In-person
About this Event
As part of London Climate Action Week 2026 (20-28 June), join the Ecology Service Community Gardeners for a hands-on planting workshop where you will:
- Create your own edible pollinator pot using herbs and flowering plants that support bees and other pollinators.
- Discover how even small urban spaces can support nature and grow food.
- Learn simple tips for growing herbs and flowers in pots while helping provide nectar and pollen for pollinators.
Take your edible balcony pot home and help plant a few pollinator-friendly herbs and flowers in the Brompton Library terrace planters.
Suitable for beginners.
The Holland Park Ecology Centre, opened in September 2013, provides a purpose-built base for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Ecology Service. The centre is an invaluable environmental education resource for schools and residents to enjoy and learn about the natural environment.
The centre also provides a unique space that is used for public events and can be hired for birthday parties, functions, meetings and training purposes.
Community Gardeners led workshops provide opportunities for residents to engage in food growing and horticulture, providing a space to learn new skills, connect with nature and develop meaningful connections with others.
We work with community groups, mental health support groups and the NHS to provide gardening opportunities in community spaces across the borough.
