Grow & Walk-A-Thon (5K)

The 6th Annual Grow & Walk-A-Thon is a community 5K that brings neighbors together for a journey through the heart of our community, showcasing the beauty, resilience, and potential of our urban spaces.

This event highlights backyard gardens, local green spaces, and cherished landmarks like the local recreation center, arboretum, and park, celebrating the role each plays in fostering community health, sustainability, and connection.

The Grow & Walk-A-Thon is the culminating event of - a multi-week wellness challenge.

The Grow & Walk- A-Thon begins at the West Oak Lane Library and will be a simple group walk starting on one of the main thoroughfares in Northwest Philadelphia - Washington Lane. The walk/run ends at Awbury Park where there will be a group celebration, health fair, and complimentary, catered plant-based lunch.
