Join us on Tuesday mornings during term time for outdoor nature adventures.We explore the seasons on site and on nature walks around the allotments looking for seasonal treasures such as birds, insects, trees, worms, snails and spiders, wild flowers, leaves, animal footprints as well as admire all the fruit and vegetables that plot holders are growing.
On our plot we have a mud kitchen, water play, a sensory trail and a picnic table with a shade in the sun or rain.
Other features of the allotments: a micro orchard, honey bee hives and a beautiful wooden hut where some weeks we will stop for nature crafts.
Pushchair and wheelchairs can get to the main gate then accessibility is compromised by uneven ground. Toilets on site.
We will meet at the pedestrian entrance to the allotments on Sunny Bank Road. Meet at 9:55 for a 10am start.
Sessions are mostly outdoors, so all attendees must be dressed for the days weather.
