Grow and Gather: Free Hands-On Garden Workshops
About this Event
We’re bringing a garden to life - and everyone is welcome! Join us for this year-long series to create a thriving hub of edible plants, pollinator-friendly flowers, and local community at the West Berkeley Family Wellness Center.
Each month we’ll observe what’s going on in our garden, then get our hands dirty with: planting and weeding, soil amendment and watering, sweeping and sowing, harvesting and composting, and more. We’ll watch the garden change with the seasons, and learn how to be thoughtful caretakers of nature in our city, and beyond.
Develop skills, share knowledge, and be a part of building something special together. No experience necessary - just curiosity!
Join us, we’d love to see you there!
Program led by garden educator Jordan Kushins (outerouter.space).
All tools provided. Sessions take place outdoors, so prepare for variable weather and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible. Space is limited, and canceling helps us keep spots available for others who would like to join.
