It’s October and that means it’s time for Honk! Festival of Activist Street Bands! https://honkfest.org/2025-festival/schedule-2025/
Join us for a nice ride to Honk! Starting in Newtonville, we’ll go to Watertown Sq., then on the off-road bike path past Fresh Pond to Davis Square in Somerville. We can have a bite to eat, see a few of the Honk! bands in the Davis Sq. area, and then head back. How long we stay at Honk! can be determined by the group, but perhaps about one hour. We can return either along the some route, or via Harvard Sq. and the Charles River bike path.
Meet in front of the Star Market at 33 Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 12 noon Saturday. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. Approx. 15 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
