Join the Anaconda Trail Society and expert geologist Steve Hill from @pintlersportal for a guided hike Wednesday, June 26 at 5:30 PM at the Tin Can Nellie trail!
We’ll hike through incredible geologic time, from rocks formed in the ancient Belt Sea (stretching from SW British Columbia to Dillon, MT) to remnants of the last three glacial periods. Steve will bring the landscape to life, sharing insights into how the Anaconda Range formed and what makes this region geologically unique.
Ever wonder how Blue-eyed Nellie got its name? Or why the views from the top are so spectacular? Come find out!
📍 Meet at the Blue-eyed Nellie trailhead parking area at 5:30 PM
🥾 Hike is ~2 miles up and 2 back – moderately rigorous
💧 Bring water and curiosity!
