About this Event
Group Fitness Instructor Training
Mat Pilates • Sculpt • Barre
Do you dream of teaching group exercise classes? Are you ready to step confidently into the front of the room and lead with clarity, knowledge, and presence?
This is an 60 hour hybrid course - 4/26 - 5/24. A 5 week training that meets in person 12-4 PM on Sundays. 20 hours of in person training, 26 hours of self paced video & workbook study, 14 hours of mentorship & community class practice.
Our Group Fitness Instructor Training dives deep into the foundations of Mat Pilates, Sculpt, and Barre — while building a strong understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and intelligent class design.
What’s the difference?
Mat Pilates focuses on core stability, postural alignment, and strengthening the deepest supportive muscles of the body.
Sculpt blends strength training with higher repetitions and resistance-based movements to challenge muscular endurance and overall conditioning.
Barre combines elements of Pilates, strength, and small isometric movements inspired by ballet technique to build stamina, tone, and precision.
The Science Behind the Strength
Did you know:
The deepest layer of muscles (often called stabilizers) holds us upright and supports our skeletal structure.
The middle layer of muscles builds stamina and muscular endurance.
The outer layer consists of the largest, most powerful muscles — our “heavy hitters.”
Each format emphasizes these muscle groups differently — and in this training, you’ll learn how to work them all safely and effectively.
What You’ll Learn
This course equips and certifies you to lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness sessions for diverse populations.
