Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Destination Playground (During 2026 Freedom Festival)

Join the City of Greenwood at 6:00 PM during the 2026 Freedom Festival to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for the City's new ADA accessible destination playground. Elected officials and City staff will be present to help answer questions about the process of removing the old playground equipment, the timeline for the installation process of turf surfacing and all new equipment, and what playground equipment will be featured at the new playground. Participate in a "photo op" and dig some dirt too!
