Whether you’re sipping coffee at a café, behind the wheel in traffic, or knocked flat on your back, you need the skills to react with confidence and precision, no matter the position. This full-day training experience bridges the gap between theory and reality, preparing you to fight smart from the seat you’re in… or the ground you land on. If you carry concealed, want to expand your real-world defensive skills, or just want to be ready when things go sideways, this class delivers the mindset and mechanics to prevale when the situation is far from ideal.
Morning Session: Take a Seat
Prepare to train from where you actually spend most of your time – sitting. From booths and benches to car seats and office chairs, this session is all about adapting your draw, aim, and engagement techniques for the environments you live in.
What You’ll Learn:
✔ Drawing from concealment while seated
✔ Engaging threats from a variety of chairs and seated positions
✔ Shooting at angles—including forward, lateral, and rear
✔ Partner communication and coordination
✔ Movement strategies: when to stay put, when to move, and how to fight to a better position
Afternoon Session: S#!T Happens
When the fight knocks you off your feet, literally, you need the mindset and mechanics to win from the ground. This session focuses on grounded shooting techniques, recovering from injury or imbalance, and regaining control under stress.
What You’ll Learn:
✔ Grounded shooting from your back, side, and other compromised positions
✔ Managing firearms under physical stress, injury, or restricted mobility
✔ Maintaining situational awareness from the ground
✔ Fighting your way back to your feet and into a dominant position
EQUIPMENT
– Working handgun (preferably a centerfire gun)
– 250 rounds factory FMJ
– Minimum of two (2) magazines, 3 magazines are recommended
– PPE: Eye & ear protection, personal med kit
– Holster: For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed during the live-fire portion of course.
– Kneepads recommended
– Magazine pouch(s)
– Sturdy gun belt
– Cleaning kit & lubricant
