Grouchy Greg 4 County Hamfest

Join us for the Grouchy Greg 4 County Hamfest on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 6280 W Crystal Lake Rd. Warsaw IN.
This event is named in honor of Greg Shafer, KC9GAS, and we’ll be operating with the approved special event call sign K9G in his memory.
This will be an outdoor ham radio gathering centered on operating, community, food, music, and spending the day together in Greg’s honor. Operators are welcome to bring radios and set up, and guests are encouraged to come out, visit, and enjoy the day.
Lunch is planned for around 1:00 PM, with cookout-style food expected. Please bring a dish to share if you can.
Live music will be provided by Barrry N’ the Hatchets.
Please note that this is not a traditional swap-meet style hamfest. It is an outdoor operating and community event, so come ready to visit, eat, operate, and enjoy the day.
Because the event is being held at an airfield, please set up only in the designated area and do not set up on the airstrip itself.
Come out, bring a chair, bring a radio if you’d like, and spend the day with us as we remember Greg and enjoy a day of ham radio, food, music, and community.
