Before some of their members formed "Groove Hotel", the "Dean Moriarty Band" graced Concerts On The Creek with an inaugural year concert eleven years ago. Celebrated across the Stateline and playing numerous high-profile events, Groove Hotel has performed at least one Concerts On The Creek annually since the band's inception. Learn more about the band at https://www.groovehotelmusic.com/ . Doors open at 2pm and the concert runs from 3pm to about 5pm. Packaged snacks and bottled soft beverages will be available at 2:15pm and during intermission. There is no admission charge, but goodwill donations from the audience pay the musicians and help to defray the church's event hosting costs. Attendance is limited to 150. Some events sell out, and those who wish guaranteed OPEN seating regardless of what time they arrive may make an early donation in the form of a minimum $5 non-refundable 'earnest money' ticket. 'Tipping' the band at digital checkout is encouraged, as is making an additional donation in person on concert night. A total donation of $10 per person is encouraged, but all amounts are appreciated. Those who are unable to buy online may email [email protected] or phone 815.979.1949 for special arrangements. We offer free off-street parking for 95 vehicles and our all-on-one-floor listening area is easily accessible; the acoustics are excellent.
