Groove Community Field Day 2026
Movement. Mentorship. Fellowship. Community.
The Long Island Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. invites youth, families, and community members to join us for a free afternoon of recreation, teamwork, friendly competition, fellowship, and positive community connection.
Community Field Day is designed to bring people together through movement, sportsmanship, encouragement, and fun. Activities will be organized by age group when appropriate so participants can enjoy a welcoming and structured experience.
What to Expect
Participants can look forward to activities such as:
- Sack races
- Three-legged races
- Shuttle relays
- Tug-of-war
- Kickball
- Team challenges
- Music, fellowship, and community recognition
Activities may be adjusted based on registration, staffing, weather, field conditions, and participant safety.
Who Should Attend?
The primary activities are being designed for middle-school and high-school youth.
Younger children, adults, parents, guardians, and community members are also welcome. Age groups will be separated for selected competitions where appropriate.

This is a free community event.
Advance registration is required for guaranteed participation. Walk-ins may be accepted if space, staffing, and supplies remain available.

- Minors must attend with a parent, guardian, or authorized group chaperone.
- Every participant must check in before joining an activity.
- Some activities will be separated by age group.

- The schedule may change because of weather, field conditions, staffing, or safety needs.

- Comfortable athletic clothing
- Closed-toe athletic shoes
- Refillable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Folding chair or blanket for family seating
- Positive energy and good sportsmanship
