Our Groms MTB Academy is for kids looking to shred with other grommets.
Whats Involved:
The kids will be broken up into skill level and assigned group leaders and escorted around the track. This is a social ride (not a race) with the aim to grow networks, enhance confidence and learn key skills for the pushy. The groups will be taken around based on ability.
We'll also have mini events such as a track stand competition and "slowest rider" race - each with prizes!
Who's it for:
Kids from as young as 5 years, through to teenagers will be catered for. We teach novices basic bike checks and bike basics such as braking and steering. For the more experienced kids, we teach key skills such as cornering, jumps.
We welcome and encourage any parent or guardian to bring their pushy also! At the end of the ride, we’ll have a sausage sizzle and drink which is included in the entry fee.
When: Sunday 19th of April 2026
Where: Maison Dieu MTB Park, Singleton
Cost: $30
What (to bring): Bike, Helmet, extra protection optional (knee/elbow pads), water, chair What’s included: Ride leaders, BBQ, water stops, prizes, snacks.
This is a safe and inclusive social event. Key Soft Cogs Inc staff have current Working With Children Checks for peace of mind.
