🎯 GRIZZ’S THROWDOWN 2026 REGISTRATION IS OPEN! 🎯
Five events. Three days. Skill-leveled competition. A 100% payout. And one big weekend celebrating the life and legacy of Leroy “Grizz” Edwards.
Grizz’s Throwdown returns October 23–25 at the South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront Event Center. This is AE Sioux City’s annual dart tournament and our tribute to Grizz, a Sioux City darts legend, longtime league supporter, friend, and mentor to generations of players.
This tournament is built for AE league players of every ability. Events are divided into levels using player ratings, so you will compete against players and teams near your own skill level. You do not have to be one of the best players in the building to have a real chance to win.
Even better, **100% of the tournament prize pool is paid back to the players.** Every dollar paid into tournament entry fees goes back out in tournament payouts. Grizz’s Throwdown is the only major tournament around here that does that.
Why? Because this weekend is AE Leagues’ way of thanking you for playing with us throughout the year. You put in the games. You support our leagues. At Grizz’s Throwdown, the money goes back to you.

• Four-Player Teams at 9:00 AM
• Blind Draw at 7:00 PM
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25
• Doubles at 10:00 AM

Players must have **75 games or more** recorded in the AE Leagues system between November 1, 2025, and October 20, 2026, to qualify.
And because Grizz was famous for his Jägermeister, we will carry on the tradition by raising our shots of “Jäger” in his honor. Come ready to compete, reconnect with old friends, share a few Grizz stories, and celebrate a man who left a lasting mark on Sioux City darts.
