Gritty City Delaware - Spring Addition

We’re back! You had so much fun, and you wanted more—so here we are. The Gritty City Gravel Series returns for another epic ride!

Hone your off-pavement skills, connect with fellow riders, and enjoy the adventure.

This is an intermediate-level ride, so bring your fitness and be ready for off-road terrain, moderate hills, and plenty of good times. Let’s make this ride even better than the last!

Day of the ride

· Parking is NOT available at Trek Newark

· Parking is free on Main Street or Newark Municipal Lots (Do not park in Newark Shopping Center or UD private lots)

· Parking is also available for free at Newark High School, 750 East Delaware Ave.

Arrival at store

· Arrive by 9:00am for bike checks and sign in, rides will start at 9:30am.

· Limited bathroom and changing areas so take care of business before arrival.

· Clothing bags can be securely stowed at the store.

· Bring trailside repair tools, especially a tube that fits your specific tire size.

· Bring on ride nutrition and hydration (eat every 45min).

The Ride

· This is NOT a race

· While mostly off-road, there are some open road sections. You're responsible for your wheel and following road rules

· This ride is not suitable for road bikes or hybrid bikes

· Remain with your group--if you're ahead of the leader or behind the sweep, you're not on the ride

· Helmets are required, and lights and hydration are recommended.

· For medical emergencies dial 9-1-1
