GRIM REAPER FESTIVAL 2026 - 25TH AnniversaryThe GRIM REAPER FESTIVAL is a one-day celebration of Maltese heavy metal culture, founded in 2001 by Nick Grima as a platform for local bands to unite, perform, and strengthen the alternative music scene. Returning in 2026 for its 25th anniversary, the festival aims to revive its legacy and reinforce its cultural importance within Malta’s underground arts community.
The 2026 edition will feature 11 Maltese heavy metal bands, offering an expanded line-up to honour the festival’s milestone year. Doors will open at noon, with performances starting at 14:00 hrs. The festival concludes with an extended afterparty featuring a special guest artist, creating a complete day-to-night cultural experience.
