Ditch the elevator pitch- our events support connection and collaboration! At She Goes High, we don't blindly pass out business cards or ask, "so, what do you do?"
We support the human BEHIND the business, not the humas AS the business.

**WHERE:** Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, 225 S Meldrum St · Fort Collins, CO

**ABOUT OUR PRESENTATION:**
Join us for a powerful and supportive conversation about grief with grief support professionals and those with lived experience. Grief impacts us all and there are many kinds of grief and loss we experience throughout our lives. You're invited to show up as you are, with any feelings of grief and loss you may be facing, and be welcomed and supported in our conversation around navigating grief.
**ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:**
**Lisa Cheney-Philp (she/her)** ~ Grief & Death Doula, Artist, Healer & River Guide, Women of the Water
Lisa is a community-based grief and death doula, creative facilitator, artist, shamanic practitioner and river guide who belongs to the world as one who rewrites history by well-tending endings and singing the Colorado River home to the sea. Lisa has been embedded in Colorado communities and watersheds for over 25 years and has been growing roots in Fort Collins and the Poudre River watershed since 2021 with her husband, daughter, and rescue pup.

**Katy Owens (she/her)** ~ Empowered Path Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapist and Owner
Katy Owens, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist and founder of Empowered Path OT in Loveland, Colorado, where she helps adults living with chronic pain return to meaningful living. **Lisa Driscoll (she/her)** ~ Mental Health Therapist / Perennial Therapy LLC
I'm a therapist and owner of Perennial Therapy. My pronouns are she/her and I'm a 1.5 generation Korean-American. My identity as a feminist, Asian American, LGBTQIA+ ally, outdoor enthusiast, and immigrant informs my work as a therapist and the lens through which I view the world. Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, I was a general education and English Language Development teacher in both private and public schools. I grew up in Seoul, South Korea and Atlanta, GA, but moved to Fort Collins, CO in 2019. At Perennial Therapy, I specialize in working with women & genderqueer people who struggle with anxiety, unhealthy perfectionism, self-esteem, immigrant identity, and racial/multicultural identity. My work with clients often lead us to conversations about work or school-life balance, relationships, boundary setting, and more. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, Kevin, and our daughter, Sora.

**Tawnya Musser (she/her)** ~ Dear Departures
Tawnya is a death and grief worker who strives to lighten the load and brighten the road for those she serves. She often gets asked “how’d you get into this work?” From her teen years on Tawnya experienced many deaths, most of which were the deaths of other young people. She attended countless funerals that left an awful lot to be desired, and she received no bereavement support for decades. In 2018, with a background in Human Services, she had just started to pivot into the world of death, dying, and grief when her big brother died. His death and subsequent home funeral followed by the death of her uncle five months later, and her mother-in-law two months after that, solidified her desire to support others before, during, and after death.
At any given moment you might find her crafting a custom ceremony for a celebration-of-life, working on a legacy project with a dying person, leading a grief group for bereaved siblings or people who had a complicated relationship with the dead, or giving a community presentation about choice. She balances the heaviness of her death work with gardening, laughter, and live music!

Handicap parking is available right next to the building. There are wide sidewalks leading to the building and wheelchair accessible ramps on the sidewalks. The entrance of the building is level with the sidewalks.
Inside the space, you can find us in the boardroom. Once you come into the building it is the big room with the double doors between the two hallways. The space is set up with long tables in a circle. There are regular height chairs with soft backs and seats positioned on the outside of the circle at the table. As you go towards the back of the room, you’ll find a window that connects the kitchen to the boardroom. You can get complimentary coffee and tea by moving through the open doorway to the kitchen.
Restrooms can be accessed by continuing to the back, past the kitchen. Once you can’t go back anymore, turn to the left, and bathrooms are on the right. They have doors that push open. There is 1 ADA accessible toilet and 1 non-ADA accessible toilet.
We look forward to meeting you at the event!
