UMC's Elder Team invites you to a series with Jackie Hook reflecting on grief, loss and recovery. A simple soup meal will be provided.
Because its branches look like tears, the weeping willow tree has often represented grief and loss. It has also represented resilience and healing. This four-week grief education and support series will provide a safe space to learn about and discuss grief in all its forms, along with the healing that occurs from actively participating in it.
All are welcome, whether you are feeling grief from the death of a loved one, grief or loss because of a life change or transition, and whether you are only feeling the grief or feeling the grief as well as the healing. Each week will include information about how grief affects a different dimension of ourselves - head, heart, body, and soul.
