A pop idol leaves her group to become an actress and finds her identity unraveling as a stalker closes in. Kon's debut is one of the great animated thrillers, and it magically predicts the dissociation that the internet will bring to billions in the 21st century. A genuinely unnerving watch that makes it a perfect Halloween-season centerpiece.
