Featuring songs and stories by some of the brightest stars of Ameripolitan, Traditional Country and Americana Music today, taking place on September 19th , from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the historic Nashville Palace, located at 2611 McGavock Pk, Nashville, TN 37214. Each artist will perform a selection of their favorite originals.
Grey DeLisle is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter known for her diverse musical projects. After a 20-year hiatus, she returned with the covers album Borrowed in 2022 and an all-original children’s album with The Roughhousers. Her 2023 release She’s An Angel featured 60s-style Nashville tunes, and her latest album Driftless Girl, produced by Jolie Holland, showcases her unique sound. Grey also co-hosts the musical variety show “Ray’s Roadhouse” for RFD-TV with Ray Benson.
Celebrating the genre’s rich heritage, Grey DeLisle's Song Swap Meet will feature a stellar lineup, headlined by Grey DeLisle, Eddie Clendening, and country legend Gail Davies. The event will also showcase standout performances from Ameripolitan Music Award winners and nominees Rachel Brooke, Hannah Juanita, Kelly Willis and Gabe Lee. Mose Wilson, and Todd Day Wait. Multi-award-winning Kimmi Bitter will perform in a trio format, and Cory Cross will close the event with his full band, delivering a mix of rough-n-rowdy Texas honky-tonk and tender intimacy with a fresh, garage rock energy.
Inspired by an Ameripolitan Music Awards showcase in Austin, Grey DeLisle’s Song Swap Meet began as an event series to celebrate talented but underappreciated musicians, with the inaugural event held on July 13th at Sassafras Saloon in Hollywood,CA, produced by Grand Ole Country Bunker.
“You know, there are so many songwriter nights,” says DeLisle, “and Nashville has the Bluebird Café, but we needed something like that in Los Angeles. There are so many great songwriters, especially in our country and western world, and some are in bands where you might not know how talented of a songwriter they are. We needed to create a space where songwriters can get together and share their songs.”
Country Bunker Dave shared, “After the success of our first Song Swap Meet in Hollywood, we were thrilled to bring this show to The Nashville Palace during AmericanaFest. Partnering with Mindy M. Miller, who has been creating independent musician community events in Nashville, felt like the perfect fit. We’ve wanted to collaborate with Mindy for years, and this event is a great way to kick things off. This is just the first of three events we’ll be doing with Mindy M. Miller during AmericanaFest at the world famous Nashville Palace .”
