Grellingen to Zwingen via Chaltbrunnental

This hike is truly magical. Located in the Chaltbrunnental , this dense and mossy forest hike, goes alongside a crystal clear river, has numerous caves to explore and even an important Swiss cultural monument. Easily accessible with a short train ride from Basel we will be eating lunch along the way so please pack a picnic lunch. This hike is generally flat, with one quite steep hill at the end.

Time: 10:15 - 15:30

Meeting Time: 10:15

Meeting Place: Basel SBB on Track 16. We will be taking the 10:37 train to Grellingen Bahnhof . Please buy your train tickets ahead of time.

Return: From Zwingen Bahnhof we will take the 14:59 train to Basel SBB, arriving at 15:23

Attire: Please wear hiking clothes and sturdy hiking boots.

What to Bring: A bottle of water and lunch and snacks for yourself.

A Special Note on Time: The train waits for no one, please arrive on time, we will not be able to meet you later on the hike.
