https://thefim.org/event/blues/Greg Nagy is a versatile artist whose music blends soul, R&B, rock, and gospel, with standout skills in songwriting, singing, and guitar playing. His debut album, Walk That Fine Thin Line, earned him a Best New Artist nomination from the Blues Foundation and praise from top critics while charting on National Living Blues Radio and XM Satellite Radio. His follow-up, Fell Toward None, received high acclaim, including a nod from Rollingstone.com and a Top 3 XM chart position. Nagy was honored to perform at B.B. King’s Blues Club during the Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in 2012.
His third album, Stranded (2015), an eclectic mix of blues, soul, and R&B, spent 14 weeks at Number One on the Root Music Soul/R&B charts, garnered international praise, and made DownBeat’s Best of 2015. Nagy was a member of Michigan’s Root Doctor for five years, contributing to their BMA-nominated album Change Ours Way. He has also recorded with artists like Georgia Music Hall of Famer and Grammy winner E.G. Kight, Grammy winning Bobby Murray, Ronnie Earl, and Nick Taborias. He's also written with Bill Wither's keyboardist Jeff Paris.
Nagy has been touring with the Larry McCray Band and performing his own shows for the past three years. He also makes guest appearances with The Bobby Murray Allstar Band.
His fourth solo album, The Real You, released in October 2024, is already receiving critical acclaim and significant airplay on 100's of stations around the globe and on BB Kings Bluesville on XM 75. It recently debuted in the top ten international blues album charts!
Bleau Otis has been featured on local news and radio stations, was the 2021 Signal Boost winner, and recently played for the 2024 Democratic Party gala in Flint Michigan. For the past 3 and a half years, Bleau Otis has played with the Billy Gunther and the Mid-West Riders band and has been musically influenced by his father, international blues artist Larry McCray. In the past year, Bleau Otis has ventured out and formed his own band, the Bleau Otis Band, with his own unique musical style known as Neo-Soul, Blues and R&B. Bleau Otis is currently in the studio working on his debut album expected to be released in 2025.
Bleau will be performing a short acoustic set to open!

Flint Under the Stars is a concert series that spotlights local talent, held on the third Wednesday of each month under the starry dome of the FIM Capitol Theatre. This series, which supports local artists by providing them with a professional performance experience, features a donate-what-you-wish ticket price. All proceeds benefit KidsTix, a program that expands access to the arts by providing admission to live performances for children and their families.
$10 per ticket is the recommended KidsTix donation for this concert, and we understand that some may be able to give more and some less. Every measure is appreciated, and everyone is welcome.
