For two decades now, Greensky Bluegrass have been building an empire, brick by brick. They are widely known for their dazzling live performances and relentless touring schedule, but that is only the tip of the complex tale of the five musicians that make up Greensky Bluegrass: Anders Beck [dobro], Michael Arlen Bont [banjo], Dave Bruzza [guitar], Mike Devol [upright bass], and Paul Hoffman [Mandolin]. The five are connected through a deep bond, just as they are seasoned road warriors, they’re a band of brothers who have seen each other through decades of ups and downs, personal and collective highlights, and the moments when life turns it all upside down. These are real people having real experiences. As with traditional bluegrass, they write about their own contemporary day-to-day happenings, emotions, and experiences in the modern world.
The band’s underground die-hard fans pack out venues across the country. They travel in droves and sell out multiple-night show runs at iconic venues like Red Rocks and The Ryman.
“As songwriters and musicians, we have a need for people to be on board, we’re not just regurgitating the same shit,” explains Bruzza.
Hoffman adds, “we aren’t a band all for money. We did it for romantic reasons such as love, catharsis, and because it mattered to us and the listeners. It would be easy to make decisions based on our needs to eat or the desires of others, but that’s not doing it for love. We love what we do, and we’re grateful for the love we receive in return from the people listening.”
Bruzza continues, “I hope they know we’re doing this for us and them.”
Hiss Golden Messenger is the long-running musical project led by North Carolina-basedsinger, songwriter, and producer M.C. Taylor. The project has evolved over the last decade into one of the most respected and celebrated in contemporary Americana, blending folk, country, soul, and gospel influences with deeply introspective, poetic, and conscious songwriting.
Across multiple critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated albums, Hiss Golden Messenger has become known for its warmth and emotional clarity, as well as Taylor’s ability to connect the personal and poetic with the political without losing intimacy or musical grace.
The forthcoming I’m People continues this trajectory, offering a reflective collection of songs that speaks to resilience, community, radical hopefulness, and the quiet human moments that animate and illuminate the everyday. It is among Taylor’s greatest and most profound work.

Sam Amidon is a singer and multi-instrumentalist (banjo, guitar, fiddle) from Vermont, US, now based in London, England. His new album “Salt River” was released by River Lea / Rough Trade on January 24, 2025. He has previously released seven acclaimed albums of songs on Bedroom Community and Nonesuch Records.
Amidon’s material for these albums often consists of adventurous reworkings of traditional American ballads, hymns and work songs, with the New York Times writing that Amidon “transforms all of the songs, changing their colors and loading them with trapdoors.” The albums have been deeply collaborative in nature, inviting contributions from musicians such as composer Nico Muhly, guitarist Bill Frisell, and on “Salt River,” saxophonist/producer Sam Gendel.
The release of “Salt River” comes on the heels of the premiere of the Teac Damsa show Nobodaddy in Belfast, followed by a sold-out run at Dublin Theatre Festival and London’s Sadlers Wells. Nobodaddy is a dance theatre music piece by choreographer Michael Keegan Dolan, centered around Amidon’s songs, and Sam was nominated for “Outstanding Creative Contribution” by the National Dance Awards Critics Circle in the UK for his performance. He has also recently finished work on the forthcoming film “History of Sound,” starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor, wherein Amidon served as a consultant and musician. The film will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Previously, Sam Amidon has recorded or performed as a guest artist with musicians such as Bon Iver, The National, The Blind Boys of Alabama, The Gloaming, Lonnie Holley, Manami Kakudo, Jacob Collier, Marc Ribot, and Beth Orton, among many others. He has appeared internationally as a soloist with ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet, The Aurora Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra with Pekka Kuusisto, The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Oregon Symphony, Roomful of Teeth, and the Britten Sinfonia.

With her powerhouse serenade, singer-songwriter Sasha Colette has traveled the East Coast far and wide, sharing her uniquely famous blend of Kentucky-born Rock n' Soul. Her passion, typically found only behind a backwoods pulpit, has led her to share stages with the likes of Ricky Skaggs, Sundy Best, Chris Knight, Tom T. Hall, Old Crow Medicine Show, Todd Snider and more.
“Magnolias are one of our first signs that spring is near,” Colette says, on the origin of the band’s name. “They are risky, they don’t mind showing up before it’s fully safe to bloom, because they’re ready.”
Balancing her life as a nurse, mother and musician, Colette brings a refreshing authenticity to her music, blending heartfelt lyrics with energetic performances. Her band of Magnolias is made up of
